About The Position

The Uinta Brewpub is seeking a part-time line cook to prepare a variety of food options for our Brewhouse Pub guests. We strive to satisfy our customers not only with outstanding beer but with exceptional cuisine. This position is expected to take ownership for the food preparation and cooking. We are seeking a Cook with a passion for creating delicious cuisine. A great palate and attention to detail with a focus on the customer experience are essential. The expectation will be to operate all kitchen equipment while preparing and cooking dishes, and bussing and washing dishes. Attention to all cleanliness and sanitation and safety procedures is a must. This is a fast-paced position. In addition to the daily activities of cooking, this role will be expected to learn and understand as much as possible about our food, beers, and brewing process. This position reports directly to the Head Chef.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be 21 or over to apply.
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, as shift schedules require.
  • Previous cooking experience required.
  • Experience using standard restaurant kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding of following recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods is a must.
  • Understanding of cleanliness and sanitation procedures is a must.
  • Ability to take direction well, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Understanding of general restaurant operations including Micros, inventory tracking and food procurement.
  • Must have current Food Handler’s Permit and TIPS and SIPS Certification.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend stoop, lift, and reach.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times per day, lifting and placing items on high shelves.
  • Use chemicals and cleaning materials according to safety regulations.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Highly organized and strong time manager.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a brewpub setting and knowledge of brewing process is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Prepare a variety of dishes from our Brewpub menu.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment.
  • Understand and comply consistently with our standards for portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, walls, and all kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain Food Handlers Permit and TIPS and SIPS certification
  • Communicates with management to assure adequate supplies
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to GM as needed
