About The Position
Esplanade Madeira Ranch is currently hiring Line Cooks to join our Culinary Team. Qualified candidates are passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and are committed to delivering high-quality dining experiences for our members and guests. Esplanade at Madeira Ranch is Elk Grove’s premier 55+ community, and we are looking to add to our opening team. Our private restaurant and bar is looking to add several line cooks and prep cooks to assist with our grand opening. Weekend availability is necessary. Employee benefits include potential for tips, shift meals, and more.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Responsibilities
- Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance with production plan or forecast needs.
- Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.
- Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
- Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.
- Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
- Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
