About The Position

Under the direct supervision, assists in a variety of kitchen activities including, food production, serving food, equipment transportation, ware washing, area cleaning, and distribution of stock supplies. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period.
  • Verifies that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portions servings correctly.
  • Keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Receives product be verifying invoice and freshness of merchandise.
  • Sets excellent customer service and work examples.
  • To ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being kept and stored under the correct conditions.
  • To ensure that all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed.
  • To ensure that maintenance problems are promptly reported.
  • To constantly update your knowledge and skills for the good of the establishment.
  • Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals and snacks.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and well maintained.
  • Ensure maximum security in all areas under your control and that staff are fully aware of the importance of key security.
  • Ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas.
  • To take the necessary steps in the event of theft, burglary or fire.
  • Ensure that the entire kitchen operates effectively and efficiently.
  • To prepare and submit in the required format all information necessary for budgeting purposes, timeously and accurately.
  • To attend meetings as required.
  • To carry out or ensure that regular On-the-Job Training is taking place to agreed standards.
