About The Position

The Loch Lloyd Country Club Line Cook works closely with the Culinary Team to prepare and serve high-quality food for members and guests in a timely and accurate manner, while consistently adhering to all sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; culinary education preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous kitchen experience.
  • Knowledge of basic knife skills and use of various kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures, regulations, and time and temperature controls.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • ServeSafe Certification required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize work, prioritize responsibilities, and exercise independent judgment while following organizational policies.
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional time management and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and service of menu items including pantry items, salads, soups, sauces, and pre-preparation of ingredients for entrées.
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal service hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved.
  • Cook food to order in a timely manner, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and blanching, while maintaining ticket times.
  • Correctly prepare and cook all food served following standardized recipes and accommodating special diet orders.
  • Complete food temperature checks prior to service.
  • Assist with banquet preparation, cooking, and service as needed.
  • Collaborate with both the Culinary Team and Service Team to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Prepare daily orders and organize food components needed for assigned stations.
  • Ensure supplies, food, and approved substitutions are available in time for service.
  • Follow organized preparation lists to complete tasks within established time restraints prior to service.
  • Rotate and properly date all prepared food to ensure the freshest product is served.
  • Follow all established food production programs, procedures, and recipes created by the Chefs and Loch Lloyd Country Club leadership.
  • Practice and observe proper food preparation, handling, and storage techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, including sanitizing surfaces and cleaning floors and walls.
  • Keep all kitchen work areas clean, organized, and service-ready at all times.
  • Comply with all sanitation, safety, personal hygiene, and health standards.
  • Represent Loch Lloyd Country Club in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shift schedules as needed or on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
