About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling menu items according to approved recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This position ensures food quality, portion control, and food safety compliance while supporting daily kitchen operations in a high-volume resort environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to troubleshoot situations quickly and act accordingly.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, overnight events, and weekends.
  • Must maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including team members, management, and guests.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude with effective customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to follow recipes, portion control, and maintain quality standards.
  • Strong teamwork orientation and flexibility to support other kitchen or F&B areas as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 6 months kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
  • Food Safety Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up and stock assigned stations with required supplies and ingredients.
  • Follow prep lists, portion control standards, and supervisor direction to ensure timely food production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas before, during, and after operating hours.
  • Monitor food quality, temperatures, and holding times; complete required logs.
  • Label, date, rotate, and store food products using FIFO standards.
  • Prevent cross-contamination by following allergen control and food safety procedures.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and properly storing food and supplies.
  • Maintain food security, inventory accuracy, and report shortages or quality issues.
  • Support teammates during peak periods and may be cross-trained in other food & beverage outlets.
  • Proactively perform cleaning, restocking, and organizational tasks when not serving guests.
  • Greet guests professionally and provide basic park information when required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, sanitation standards, and training requirements.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
