About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items to recipe and presentation standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. This role works closely with the Kitchen Manager and team to deliver consistent food quality during leagues, events, and peak service times.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of line cook experience preferred
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Understanding of food safety standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-volume restaurant, sports bar, or entertainment venue a plus

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Execution Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes
  • Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Accurately follow ticket orders and maintain strong communication with expo and team
  • Service & Teamwork Perform efficiently during high-volume service (league nights, tournaments, private events)
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Assist teammates as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Cleanliness & Safety Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Keep station clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Adhere to DC health department regulations
  • Assist with daily opening and closing cleaning procedures
