About The Position

Dock 17 is seeking a skilled, versatile, and detail-oriented Cook to support our kitchen team. This role is essential to our daily operations, combining food prep / line responsibilities with maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-run kitchen environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds
  • Commitment to following food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily food preparation to support kitchen operations
  • Maintain organized workstations and ensure ingredients are stocked
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and restocking items
  • Ensure clean dishes, pots, pans, and flatware are always available
  • Clear the dish window and properly store clean dishware
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and appliances, including coffee makers, mixers, and pans
  • Clean and sanitize the dishwasher and triple sink at the end of shifts
  • Sweep and mop floors, maintaining a safe and clean workspace at all times
  • Take out trash and rinse garbage cans as needed
  • Support your team with additional tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Execute dishes efficiently, accurately, and consistently
  • Ensure excellent presentation and quality control
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
