The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Interior spaces are warm and inviting, featuring high-end amenities and services suitable to an urban setting, including secure underground parking. This brand-new community is nothing like you have ever seen, but it is our commitment to compassionate quality care for more than 27 years that is truly distinctive. Job Description: The Springs at The Waterfront is building a team of talented individuals to provide 5-star service. We are seeking experienced culinary professionals to join a team of seasoned hospitality workers. Enjoy a great a work-life balance with no late nights and a consistent schedule. Work in a state-of-the-art open kitchen with stunning views of the Columbia River. And, yes, we do provide parking! We offer residents and guests multiple dining venues in an up-scale environment, with award-winning cuisine, and genuine hospitality. Requirements

  • Prior experience with line cooking, with an emphasis in fine dining
  • Passion for quality service
  • Team player
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Executing Executive Chefs Menus
  • Adhering to prep guides and recipes
  • Assures that meals are consistently served with attractive presentation and punctually
  • Prepares meals adhering to all food sanitation policies and procedures
  • Prepares meals adhering to all portion control and special dietary guidelines
  • Resolves resident food and/or food service complaints graciously and promptly
  • Assures food is stored correctly, adhering to all related guidelines
  • Assures kitchen is cleaned after meals, including but not limited to pots and pans, all surfaces, and the floor
  • Performs all cleaning tasks according to cleaning schedule
