Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience in hot and cold food preparation
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in order to follow recipes, food safety logs, and kitchen procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and a team-first attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary school degree (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience in healthcare or senior living (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and daily menus
  • Assisting with food prep and planning for upcoming meals
  • Plating meals with attention to presentation and portion control
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Monitoring food temperatures and maintaining food safety logs
  • Supporting meal preparation for special events and functions
  • Following all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
