About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating dishes according to our menu and recipe specifications. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation, cleanliness, and safety standards. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform well under pressure are essential in this role.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role in a kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast -paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Food safety certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to the restaurant's menu and recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Set up and stock the kitchen stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, stoves, and slicers in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ensure that food is cooked to the proper temperature and meets the restaurant's quality standards.
  • Plate and garnish dishes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist in inventory management by ensuring ingredients are stocked and alerting management when supplies are low.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to coordinate cooking and timing of orders.
  • Maintain a clean work area, including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure food safety and cleanliness by adhering to health codes and restaurant protocols.
  • Assist with other duties as needed, such as prep work or dishwashing, during busy times.
