About The Position

As the Line cook you will prepare food using recipes and menu items created by the Executive Chef and the Sous Chef while keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You should be knowledgeable of various cooking techniques and have a passion for food.

Requirements

  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to read and follow a recipe
  • Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing meal ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing fruits and vegetables as well as marinating meats.
  • Preparing soups, salads, and sauces as instructed by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
  • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • Ensure that all cooking stations and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before and after each shift.
  • Maintain a low amount of waste through proper recipe adherence and food rotation
  • Plate and garnish meal items in accordance with the instructions provided by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
  • Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed
