About The Position

Chelsea Piers Golf Club is seeking to hire a part-time Line Cook to join our team at The Water Hazard Bar + Lounge, located on Pier 59. The Water Hazard Bar + Lounge offers a variety of signature cocktails, draft beers, and seasonal small plates. The schedule for this position is evenings and weekends. As the Line Cook you will be expected to:

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to take on other tasks
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds or more
  • Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time
  • Ability to work on weeknights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Food handlers license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking (guac, salsa, vegetables, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Ensure great presentation of dishes
  • Work well as a teammate in a high volume, fast-paced, positive working environment
  • Ensure all food items are labeled and stored properly
