About The Position

Marquette is recruiting for one hospitality focused Line Cook to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes and following all procedures and regulations pertaining to food preparation.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
  • A minimum of (3) three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution; or culinary advanced education.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.
  • ServeSafe Certified or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code including federal and state regulations.
  • Attends and completes in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follows Marquette policies and procedures.
