About The Position

We are in search of service minded individuals with the desire to make a positive impact on the residents that live within our community. Position available for Full-time Line Cook Thursday to Monday 11: 00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekends and holidays required. Must complete employment application online to advance to next step! Pay starts at $23.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a 4-panel drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all soups, stocks, sauces; boils, braises and roasts items as per standardized recipes.
  • Prepares and serves all sauteed, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items as per standardized recipes.
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders.
  • Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food is preserved.
  • Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and seeing that supplies are obtained in adequate time for meal production.
