About The Position
We’re looking for a line cook to play a key role in our kitchen, bringing seasonal menu items to life with care, precision, and pride. You’ll help maintain the quality and consistency The Buttery is known for while working hands-on in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll join a supportive team where high standards and good vibes go hand in hand. We offer flexible scheduling, room to grow, and the chance to help shape the rhythm and culture of a brand-new kitchen from day one. Pay: $15–20/hr (based on experience) Experience: Line cook experience required If you love cooking, thrive on teamwork, and want to be part of something exciting from the start, we’d love to meet you!
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and listening skills.
- Passion for hospitality and creating excellent meals.
- Be caring, self-motivated, and exhibit an aptitude for learning, teaching & teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items following recipes, portion sizes, and standards.
- Operate various kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, stoves, grills) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, assisting with stock rotation and minimizing food waste.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure proper quantity and quality of products.
- Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation during peak service hours.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding food quality, safety, or kitchen equipment to the managers.
