About The Position

The Inn provides Napa visitors with accommodations that feel like home while staying true to Wine Country's chic, boutique aesthetic Our restaurant ALBA Bar & Cafe is open daily for breakfast, and small bites in the evening at the Bar. We also have (3) private rooms for banquets & catered events. River Terrace Inn A day in the life... As a Line Cook, you will prepare all food items, based on standardized recipes while complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures to produce an appealing and appetizing product. You will be responsible for the appropriate use of facility supplies, and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud. Performs other functions as requested by the F&B Manager.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Line Cook required.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Food hygiene and safety regulations required.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, prioritize and organize.
  • Ability to comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, multi-task, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team by leading, motivating, engaging, and empowering team members.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked
  • Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by recipe and to specification.
  • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
  • Stock inventory and supplies appropriately.
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
