About The Position

A Line Cook plays a key role in contributing to each guests dining experience. Line cooks are responsible for certain tasks in the kitchen such as grilling or cutting ingredients required for food service.

Requirements

  • Experience in fine dining or equivalent kitchens
  • Ability to work swiftly and efficiently
  • Must have strong work ethic and reliability
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs as needed with assistance.
  • Continuous use of hand and arms.
  • Continuous standing, walking, climbing, reaching and twisting.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work as scheduled, on time, well-groomed and dressed in proper uniform.
  • Keep stations clean, sanitized and well stocked with necessary supplies
  • Use ingredients in the right proportion and be aware of the exact procedure of food preparation
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
  • Fill in wherever necessary to move the line faster
