Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary school certification or formal culinary training.
  • Experience working in a hospitality or tourism-related food and beverage environment.
  • Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Certification in food handling or ServSafe.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demand during service hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards to prevent contamination and ensure customer safety.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to coordinate food preparation and service flow.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting shortages.
  • Participate in daily kitchen setup and closing procedures to ensure readiness for service.
