Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook REQUIRED (2–3 years strongly preferred)
  • Experience working in an upscale-casual or fine-dining kitchen, particularly in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work across multiple stations, including grill, sauté, and prep
  • Familiarity with high-volume kitchen environments and the ability to execute dishes quickly and consistently
  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes, plating standards, and prep instructions precisely
  • A passion for high-quality food and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain cleanliness in a busy kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
  • Team-oriented, with a focus on collaboration and professionalism in the kitchen

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Trumbull Kitchen specifications, focusing on modern American cuisine and signature dishes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, prepping sauces, and organizing ingredients
  • Ensure proper rotation and storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and fellow cooks to ensure smooth and timely service
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused kitchen environment that fosters growth and respect
