Requirements

  • 1 or more years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Creativity and passion for Japanese cuisine
  • A valid Food Handlers Certification is required and must be obtained before entering this position
  • Must have an accommodating attitude
  • Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all dishes meet established standards for quality, portion size, and visual appeal
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of the food menu to answer all questions from staff
  • Assigned to a rotation on the hot, grill, garde manger, and stations
  • Daily prep for the day and week
  • Learning and execution of menu offerings
  • Performs opening and closing side work
  • Ensure work area complies with health codes at all times
