About The Position

Our Cooks @ Magnolia Glen provide the highest quality/presentation food to our residents, guests, and associates, to promote an excellent restaurant-style dining atmosphere. Full Time: Shifts will vary between 6:30am & 7pm (2 days off a week) Pay Rate $19.00/hr - $21.50/hr (depending on experience) Paid Vacation / Sick Time / 7 Paid HolidaysExcellent - Medical / Dental / Vision Benefits / 401K Free Meal each shift What will I do every day? Assist in the production of creatively designed cuisine Cook according to menus, production sheet and recipes with consideration Maintain kitchen and food preparation in a clean and sanitary manner Deliver all invoices to Dining Services Director in a timely fashion Maintain records or meals served and records of food and supplies used as required Qualifications and Skills: Education/Experience: High school graduate preferred Minimum 5 years of cooking experience required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed Ability to fully support kitchen brigade associates Demonstrates understanding of Mise en Place through proper placement and preparation of ingredients Special Requirements/Certifications: Must have Food Handler’s certification as required or being willing to obtain one. Requirements
