About The Position

The Ingleside Hotel and Conference Center in Pewaukee is seeking an experienced line cook. You'll prepare cold pantry items and some hot items for the restaurant and room-service in our large, professional kitchen. Assist with high-volume banquet prep - chef's tables, conferences, wine dinners & up to 100 weddings/year.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant cooking experience, education and/or culinary training is required.
  • Food knowledge regarding pantry, soups, sauté and broiler preferred.
  • Must have manual dexterity for knife handling, sautéing, and equipment usage.
  • Excellent food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to operate a variety of commercial cooking equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food efficiently and timely for guests.
  • Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef.
  • Follow predetermined instruction regarding recipes and quantities.
  • Have a basic knowledge of food cost control.
  • Comply with all food handling and sanitation procedures.
