About The Position

Requirements

  • Courteous, friendly, professional attitude – demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
  • Minimum one year experience working in a kitchen with desire to become more proficient.
  • Food Safe & WHIMIS are assets, although training can be provided.
  • Able to lift 40lbs, work in hot summer temperatures & stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work weekends throughout the season and evenings for weddings and other events.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a part of a team to prepare and execute daily lunch service and prIvate events.
  • Prepare, portion and stock food station as required.
  • Ensure that the preparation, production, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area, including pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
  • Unloading and putting away deliveries and stock
  • Emptying bins, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Maintain readiness of kitchenware and kitchen laundry.
  • Daily opening, closing and cleaning duties as requested by our Winery Chef and/or Sous Chef
  • A prepared team and clean restaurant are essential for positive guest experiences!
