About The Position

This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, knows their sauces from their stocks, and brings a touch of flair to every plate.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Health Card
  • Knowledge of mother sauces (espagnole, velouté, béchamel, tomato) and butter sauces
  • Able to work unsupervised and assist other cooks in a team environment
  • Comfortable using knives, handheld tools, and kitchen equipment
  • Understand different cooking oils and their temperatures

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes including meats, poultry, fish, pasta, vegetables, and sauces
  • Master techniques like sautéing, broiling, frying, baking, and grilling
  • Create and garnish soups—clear, thick, and regional—with precision and creativity
  • Portion and present dishes with consistency and attention to detail
  • Follow recipes and cooking instructions in English with accuracy and urgency
