About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center is looking for a Line Cook to join the Culinary Department! This hotel is located across the street from the Abilene Convention Center in the heart of downtown, among restaurants and businesses. The ideal candidate will hold comparable experience in culinary and have full availability to work the ever-changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.

Requirements

• Comparable experience in culinary
• Full availability to work flexible schedules including AM, MID and PM shifts, starting as early as 5AM and ending as late as 11.30PM
• Availability to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
