About The Position

Responsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients and support the company's meal program.

Requirements

• Stamina: The physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
• Lifting: The capacity to lift and carry materials, often up to 30 or 50 pounds.
• Flexibility: The ability to bend, stretch, and perform various kitchen tasks throughout a shift.
• At least 2 years of verifiable work experience in a professional kitchen.
• Culinary degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Proven Cooking Experience: Experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook is essential with high volume experience, bulk cooking experience.
• Professional Kitchen Environment: Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in various cooking methods (sautéing, grilling, baking), knife skills, and food preparation is critical.
• The ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a team, along with clear communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, especially during peak hours.
• The ability to remain calm and perform tasks accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A focus on accuracy, speed, and maintaining food quality standards.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: A thorough understanding of food safety rules, proper storage, and sanitation regulations.
• Kitchen Equipment: Familiarity with and the ability to use common kitchen equipment such as blenders, food processors, mixers, ovens, etc.
