Alltown Fresh is looking to expand our family by adding a Line Cook 2 to our team! We are looking for a person who demonstrates their passion for the kitchen and being heartfelt when preparing dishes using locally sourced ingredients. You will work directly with our culinary team, using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat and other meal prep. Responsible for prepping, labeling and stocking ingredients while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins. Interacting with guest throughout the day showcasing our passion for foodservice and exhibiting our dedication towards hospitality. Assists in training new culinary hires. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and recognize team. Able to quickly and accurately complete tasks. Awareness of ingredients and potential allergens within recipes. Pays special attention to guests who communicate certain allergies or specific diet concerns. Responsible for communicating inventory and kitchen needs to Chef including but not limited to prep, grab and go items, cleaning and sanitization items and paper goods. Understands and follows safe food handling procedures. Follows established guidelines rotating stock items and storing produce at appropriate temperatures. Takes ownership of the dish station making sure area is set up and stocked as well as washing dishes as needed. Follows and performs both daily and weekly cleaning assignments. Empties trash as needed daily. Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment. Basic knife and food preparation skills. Must be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends and or holidays. Understanding of safe food handling and storage. Must obtain serve safe certification. High school diploma or GED. ServSafe certification preferred Pay Range $17.66 - $20.87 The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
