Requirements

  • Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 years of experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • This job is in a fast-paced environment and will require you to be physically active.
  • Operate machines safely with minimal supervision.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. - bending, carrying, pushing, pulling and other activities as needed.
  • Communicate and problem solve with coworkers.
  • Stand and walk on concrete for long periods of time.
  • Work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day.
  • Perform basic math and obtain necessary production specifications.
  • Pass on information to co-workers/relay information to and from all employee levels including management.
  • Work different ranges of hours such as overtime or weekend shifts (The hours for this position may change based on production schedule).
  • Candidates receiving offers of employment will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-placement background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Able to fully perform the work of a general line attendant.
  • Can work independently within established procedures associated to specific job function under limited supervision.
  • Train workers in equipment operations as needed.
  • Leads training of new line attendants.
  • Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes, utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications.
  • Facilitates unpacking of raw materials; mixing and scaling of ingredients; and/or assembly of product and packing of finished goods.
  • Ensures that all products (from raw materials to finished product) meet company and government quality standards.
  • Notifies supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
  • May work on a rotation or multiple product lines with enhanced skill level and dexterity.
  • Counts, packs and inspects finished product for correct label, cleanliness, and quality.
  • Works in a wide range of temperatures and conditions and will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Wears the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, including but not limited to ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump caps, hair and beard nets, and gloves.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).
  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
