Starting Wage: $24.80 + 0.80 shift differential Shift: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday, 1:50 pm – 9:50 pm Location: Staunton, VA What’s in it for you: Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans 401k match from Daikin Tuition Reimbursement Referral Bonus Program Growth Opportunities Climate Controlled Facility Your Responsibilities: Demonstrate compliance with all safety rules and PPE requirements Read, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction Work with a variety of materials to complete assigned tasks to meet production requirements Operate various tools and equipment to assemble, test, handle, manipulate and move components, assemblies, and final product Use measuring and testing devices as well as visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards with the goal of eliminating internal and external escapes Complete required records including but not limited to quality checklists, inputs into specified electronic systems Report line issues into the appropriate data collection systems Safe operation of equipment as required to complete assigned tasks (e.g. charging stations, water jet, evacuation pumps, tuggers, cranes, etc.) Your Qualifications: The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment Your Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insurance Employer contributed 401k up to 100% on the first 3% and 50% on the 4th and 5th percent Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage Short term disability and optional employee paid voluntary long-term disability 40 hours paid time off for employees, first year prorated based on start date 88 hours company paid holidays Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Requirements
