About The Position

LabConnect improves lives by partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and clinical research organizations (CROs) to accelerate the development of new medicines around the world. We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. The LIMS Technology Product Manager will be responsible for aligning software platform development with future-state business processes as defined by the Process Excellence team. A major component of this role includes LIMS platform development and/or deployment + enhancements. This role will act as a central driver in ensuring that platforms evolve to meet enterprise transformation goals. The Technology Product Manager partners with Process Excellence, Business Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Platform Support teams to drive product vision, deliver value, and champion cross-functional collaboration from ideation through adoption. This role requires a proactive leader who can not only manage traditional project tasks but also shape the direction of platforms to meet business and process transformation objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience with LIMS platform development and/or deployment+enhancements, required.
  • Experience with Sapio LIMS, preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or project management roles, with a focus on clinical laboratory or manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, FDA, ISO, GMP, GxP) and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, clinical trial processes, and kit build manufacturing.
  • Expertise in project management, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and achieving measurable process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth understanding of industry regulations and quality assurance practices, particularly within clinical labs and medical device environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Process Excellence to ensure platform design supports future-state business processes.
  • Translate transformation goals into actionable product roadmaps.
  • Define and communicate product vision aligned with business outcomes.
  • Co-write PRFAQ's where necessary: Collaborate with stakeholders to co-write a PRFAQ (Press Release and Frequently Asked Questions) that defines the vision and prioritized user experiences or features that need to be part of the technology product.
  • Serve as a liaison between Process Excellence, Business Owners, Analysts, Developers, and Support teams.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across teams.
  • Foster strong collaboration to deliver integrated, cohesive solutions.
  • Lead project scoping and define deliverables in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Create and manage product timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Manage Multiple Projects: The Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Manage CapEx budgets aligned with platform investments.
  • Collaborate with the business to define success metrics and KPIs.
  • Monitor and report on product impact and performance.
  • Drive the development of the life cycle from concept through deployment and adoption.
  • Provide clear directions to development teams based on business needs and process goals.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities.
  • Actively guide teams toward future-state operations and digital maturity.
  • Identify and resolve barriers to change across functions.
  • Promote best practices in change management and adoption.
  • Ensure solutions meet quality standards and business expectations.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess performance and lessons learned.
  • Iterate on product features to drive continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and business partners.
  • Present product updates, risks, and outcomes clearly and confidently.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and business needs throughout the lifecycle.
