About The Position

The
LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) Administrator
has responsibility for assistance in developing and maintaining all LIMS related programming and assists with other IT development and maintenance needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• A minimum of one (1) year experience working with LIMS systems (OR) two (2) years’ Aegis experience utilizing LIMS required; HORIZON (Chemware, Inc.) experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of laboratory workflow and Quality Control principles preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain LIMS and other related enterprise applications
• Maintain LIMS Standard Operating Procedures Manual and LIMS Disaster Recovery Plan
• Strategize improvements to LIMS for business data management and efficiencies
• Assist in identification of areas for LIMS service improvements
• Build new test codes in LIMS
• Administer other enterprise applications as needed
• Provide data for analysis utilizing queries and reporting tools
• Educate team members regarding LIMS operations and procedures
• Maintain inventory of Aegis LIMS-related software licensing
• Other tasks as needed, including data maintenance functions (upgrades, backup)
• Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
• Other duties as required and assigned
