About The Position

This is a frontline essential worker position for 4M Building Solutions, a company specializing in janitorial, cleaning, and disinfection services. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, 4M Building Solutions employs 8000 associates and operates across more than 30 states in the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast United States. The General Cleaner/Janitor role involves a variety of responsibilities, including training in 4M's state-of-the-art cleaning and disinfection practices using green-seal certified supplies and equipment. The successful candidate will be a reliable, courteous, and resourceful representative of 4M, performing tasks such as cleaning various surfaces (countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, furniture), trash removal, replenishing supplies (towels, soaps, toilet paper), sweeping, wet mopping, and vacuuming. A key aspect of the role is to act as an additional pair of eyes for the facility, reporting any necessary repairs, replacements, leaks, or drips. No prior cleaning experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Requirements

• No cleaning experience required (training provided in best practices).
• Successful drug screening and background check.
• Comply with social distancing requirements and safety guidelines.
• Team members must wear clothing and personal protective equipment provided by 4M when necessary, in accordance with the position and OSHA requirements.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Train in 4M's state-of-the-art cleaning and disinfection practices using green-seal certified supplies and equipment.
• Be the friendly face of 4M: reliable, courteous, resourceful.
• Clean surfaces, including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
• Remove trash.
• Replenish towels, soaps, and toilet paper rolls.
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.
• Act as a valuable extra pair of eyes for a facility: report necessary repairs, replacements, leaks, and drips as detected.
