The Limited Scope X-ray Technician performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. This position is designed to provide convenient, same-day care that is connected to services and a ministry passionate about making health care easier.

Requirements

• Limited Scope Radiology Licensure in state where they are working (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to independent patient care)
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• 1 year of healthcare or clerical physician practice experience (preferred)
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs provider ordered radiographic examinations for specific anatomical parts allowed by obtained licensure
• Conducts proper patient positioning, immobilization, utilizing appropriate radiation protection
• Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors which safeguard the patient, x-ray tube, and equipment
• Reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisor
• Assists in medical documentation and clinical assistant duties as directed and supervised by the Provider
• Participates in promotion of positive culture and teamwork and demonstrates excellence in care in all interactions
• Maintains a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, exam rooms, and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Understands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the role
• Travels to other urgent care facilities if necessary or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the manager
• Performs cross-functional duties as needed, including front desk duties such as registration, scheduling, answering phones, cash handling and other duties not limited to scribing, ordering of supplies
