About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Limited Scope Radiologic Technology program, including supervision of daily operations.

Requirements

  • Must possess at a minimum a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have a minimum of three years related practical work experience in the subject.
  • Must demonstrate an up‐to-date knowledge and continuing study of the subject matter.
  • Must present a professional image and conduct him/herself in the same manner.
  • Must have proven supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, faculty, and students.
  • Must work well under pressure, multi‐task, and have good organizational skills.
  • Solid employee relations, problem‐solving, and teamwork skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; prefer Campus Nexus and SharePoint knowledge.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends, when required/necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and can multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism
  • Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. CampusNexus experience a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of regular work shifts, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary or as requested by Supervisor.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and/or overnight for business purposes.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • State accreditation, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating all aspects of the Limited Scope Radiologic Technology program, including supervision of daily operations.
  • Conduct faculty meetings and participate in educational conferences, professional training and seminars, as well as staff and department meetings.
  • Teaching classes on a regularly scheduled basis assigned.
  • Advise students on academic and behavioral issues.
  • Process student evaluations, grades, and all other required reports and documentation.
  • Assign class and teaching schedules.
  • Assess students for acceptable Rates of Progress and GPA’s and counsel/document accordingly.
  • Assist students in applying their didactic knowledge to practical experience.
  • Provide tutorial opportunities for students.
  • Supervise the department supply inventory and submit purchase requests to the Campus Director of Education and Campus Executive Director for restocking of supplies as needed.
  • Attend and conduct in‐service training seminars as required.
  • Advise students regarding attendance/academic progress concerns and document accordingly.
  • Act as advisor to “at risk” students.
  • Ensure the programs are operated under all Department of Education and Accrediting Commission, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and code requirements.
  • Ensure the program is operating under all Virginia Department of Medicine regulations, rules and requirements.
  • Assist the home office directors in curriculum development and preparation of course materials.
  • Audit all program curricula to ensure that instructors are using the most current syllabi, lesson plans, and textbooks as indicated on the intranet site.
  • Act as a substitute instructor when no other qualified instructors are available.
  • Supervise the maintenance and utilization of equipment used in the Limited Scope Radiologic Technology department.
  • Return student/instructor telephone calls daily.
  • Conduct student exit interviews every module.
  • Hire and terminate instructors in coordination and communication with the Campus Director of Education and Campus Executive Director.
  • Complete instructor and course content evaluations on a regular and timely basis.
  • Acquire qualified substitute instructors when necessary.
  • Document all student action notifications in Campus Nexus (attendance probation, recycles, drops, restarts, LOA’s, and transfers).
  • Handle all student grievances in a timely manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Campus Director of Education or Campus Executive Director.
  • Participate in formal and informal mentoring of new employees to support onboarding, training, and joining a positive working culture that supports the institution and its students.
  • Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor.
