Location: Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana Schedule: Variable Shift | PRN Your Role: As a Limited Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech), you’ll perform essential radiology procedures within your scope, supporting patient diagnosis and treatment. Your attention to detail, clinical experience, and compassionate care will contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients and providers alike.

Requirements

  • Minimum of twelve (12) months clinical experience through an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required).
  • Montana Limited Permit Holder License (required).
  • Current BLS CPR certification (RQI Responder), or ability to obtain upon hire (required).
  • Prior experience performing a variety of radiology procedures (required).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn internal systems.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) months clinical experience obtained through an accredited school of Radiological Technology required.
  • Montana Limited Permit Holder License required.
  • Current RQI Responder CPR or must be successfully obtained at time of hire.
  • Previous experience performing a variety of Radiology procedures required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to current exam protocols and departmental standards.
  • Support and assess patients throughout their imaging experience, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with providers and radiology team members to ensure high-quality imaging and seamless patient care.
  • Assist providers with exams and procedures within your scope of practice.
  • Document patient assessments and provider orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and monitor imaging equipment; report any issues per protocol.
  • Participate in quality control processes and uphold technologist competency standards.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Performs and documents assessment of the patient utilizing available information and incorporating the patient’s perception of illness/condition.
  • Assists provider with examinations and procedures as directed and in accordance with established scope of practice as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Maintains an understanding of current exam protocols as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Works in collaboration with the radiology department to ensure the most up to date protocols are followed.
  • Accurately and efficiently transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments.
  • Consistently problem solves issues affecting patient care.
  • Follows current exam protocols to perform diagnostic imaging procedures as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Maintains accountability to technologist competency/quality control standards.
  • Reviews QA report and takes appropriate action as indicated.
  • Assists with maintaining and coordinating repairs and services as needed.
  • Monitors equipment for malfunction and alerts leadership per department procedures and protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
