About The Position

Serving communities in Kern, Los Angeles and Ventura counties in Southern California Region, the goal of Adventist Health Physician's Network is to create a network of providers who understand the health care and social needs of the community. Key services include primary care, urgent care, women's and children's, cardiology, surgical specialties and more. Additionally, the Southern California physician organization includes an Independent Physician Association (IPA) that manages 23,000 lives in the Glendale and Los Angeles markets and a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) of providers in Simi Valley. Job Summary: Performs x-ray procedures limited to certification scope. Applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis at the technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Certificate/Diploma from X-ray Technician school: Required in CA
• Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) Certificate: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
• Limited Medical Radiology Tech (LMRT) or X-Ray Tech (Limited) (XRAY): Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required

Nice To Haves

• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
• Prepares equipment for use as needed.
• Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
• Positions patients for imaging exams.
• Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
• Performs diagnostic procedures to the required level of ability.
• Produces diagnostic images.
• Documents exam information.
• Reports important information to the physician.
• Verifies exams on PACS.
• Maintains patient records as directed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
