The Laboratory for Isotopes and Metals in the Environment (LIME) at the Penn State University Park campus is seeking a Part-Time (10-24 hrs/week) lab technician for its geochemistry facility. The role requires experience or training in laboratory techniques, particularly basic wet chemistry. While experience in sample preparation for geochemical analysis and some analytical experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates should ideally have coursework or experience in geochemistry, chemistry, or a similar technical field. A B.A., B.S., or M.Sc. in a technical field with chemistry content is encouraged, but candidates without a bachelor's degree may be considered if they demonstrate aptitude in analytical chemistry. Full lab-specific training will be provided for all methods. The successful candidate will work across LIME's analytical facilities, gaining broad experience in various analytical techniques, and is expected to contribute professionalism, dependability, and safety consciousness to the team.
