The Lilly Director of Faith-Based Education and Engagement (Director) plays a pivotal role in helping the International African American Museum (IAAM) highlight the importance that faith-based traditions and spirituality have played in Africa American and African diasporic history, culture and communities. They will infuse energy into innovative, compelling and impactful initiatives that resonate with faith-based communities and support the creation of robust and long-term relationships with the museum. Reporting to the Chief Learning and Engagement Officer (CLEO), the Director provides responsive and nimble leadership to ensure that content, opportunities for engagement, programs and outreach efforts align with faith-based community identified priorities. The Director will travel throughout South Carolina, the southern region, and the country connecting with congregations, religious organizations, and spiritual communities. They will give focus to developing and preserving relationships and partnerships, creating and delivering faith-based programs and educational materials, and coordinating visits to the museum.
