About The Position

As a Lighting Technician, a typical day might include the following: Provide lighting for high volume live events Assist production crews as directed Perform load-in, set-up and break-down lighting equipment for productions when necessary Assist with lighting control board operation & programming Assist with maintenance and repair of lighting equipment Interact with visiting production crew to ensure a successful show by using strong interpersonal skills and accommodating lighting requirements of artist/event Operate systems pertaining to audio, lighting, and/or video throughout the entire venue Ensure proper care and handling of all house and rental lighting & A/V equipment If necessary, assist the production manager with technical advance Assist with any special events operations in any of the previous mentioned capacity All other duties assigned This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications: At least 1 year previous live event production lighting experience Experience in stage lighting, programming, and operation Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Understanding of electricity and power management Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills Must be able to lift up to 75lbs You are able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level and extreme lighting changes Knowledge and proficiency in professional Lighting Control (GrandMA, Obsidian Onyx, ETC, Artnet/sACN protocol all preferred) Physical Demands / Work Environment / Hours The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
