About The Position

The Lighting Director position at Ace of Spades involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the setup and operation of lighting for live events. This role is crucial in ensuring that the lighting meets the specifications of the artists and enhances the overall experience for the audience. The Lighting Director will perform load-ins of band and rental equipment, set up and break down event equipment, and make necessary adjustments to lighting to align with the event's requirements. This includes operating spotlight systems and lighting control boards, as well as maintaining and repairing lighting equipment as needed. In addition to technical skills, the Lighting Director will interact with production crews and artist representatives to ensure a successful show. This role requires a proactive approach to accommodate the audio/visual needs of the event and to oversee the lighting systems throughout the entire event. The Lighting Director will also assist the audio crew with equipment setup and ensure that all lighting and A/V equipment is handled with care. The position demands a high level of organization and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
