About The Position

The Certified Light Duty Technician at Cornerstone Auto Group is responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance with efficiency and accuracy. This role emphasizes the importance of communication with service advisors and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The technician will work on various types of vehicles and is expected to comply with all relevant regulations while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

• Technician with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with working on all types of vehicles.
• Current, valid Drivers License with a driving record that meets insurance company standards.
• Willing to submit and the ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift, and stand on your feet for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, with little supervision.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform the necessary repairs.
• Accurately records all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Effectively communicates with the Service Advisor.
• Examines assigned vehicles to determine if further safety and/or service work is required or recommended.
• Understands, keeps updated on, and complies with Federal, State, and Local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner and wears appropriate safety equipment.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean.
• Keeps shop areas neat and clean.
