About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, conducting preventative maintenance, and completing repairs on light and medium duty vehicles. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the efficiency and safety of the fleet operations while providing excellent customer service. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently while managing a flexible schedule that may involve emergency roadside services. Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field, or 5 years’ experience with a different combination of education.
• Ability to provide and maintain a set of necessary hand tools.
• Current and valid DOT medical card and ability to pass DOT physical prior to employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.
• Valid state-of-residence driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light and medium duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair various types of truck equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records according to established standards.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding repair estimates and findings.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck independently.
