Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in light duty mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of general to advanced electrical.
  • Ability to read schematics.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • ASE certifications.
  • Knowledge and ability to use various computer aided diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of light duty vehicles and equipment including pickup trucks, skid steers, forklifts, boom trucks, and lube trucks.
  • Perform diagnostic, replacement and repairs on engines, transmissions, transaxles, manual drive train and axles, suspension, steering, brakes, clutches, AC units and electric motors.
  • Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
  • Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance including oil and lube service, coolant system flush, transmission services, filter and gasket checks.
  • Train and mentor other employees.
  • Perform welding, such as carbon arc and Mig.
  • May operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment.
  • Act as a Fill-in Supervisor as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections.
  • Perform other duties as required.
