Requirements

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

Nice To Haves

  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
  • Experience working in a production-related work
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • Experience operating forklifts and/or similar equipment

Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and stretch wrap machines
  • Supply materials as necessary to own area as well as other areas
  • Unloading, loading, and stacking materials onto or off trucks, pallets, skids, or lifting devices, and controlling inventory to meet both internal and external customer needs
  • Follow written or oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
  • Make simple adjustments or repairs, maintenance, and lubrication of trucks
  • Open communication with peers and management to promote a teamwork-focused environment
  • Develop Capable of all platform labor duties
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
