About The Position

We are hiring for a 1st Shift Lift Truck Operator (6AM-3:30PM) to provide quality material handling to support operations and achieve growth. This position will be reporting to the Facility Manager and will occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime. Our competitive benefit package, including corporate paid plans, will be of value! This position is 100% outside. Starting pay is $23.00/hr

Requirements

• Experience operating lift truck to load/unload lumber and steel products.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars using lift truck equipment
• Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
• Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
• Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
• Positive, clear, and professional communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in warehouse environment
• Must be able to work outside the entire shift.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Must be willing and able to slide, push, or pull cases up to 60 pounds
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.

Nice To Haves

• Lumber and Steel experience is preferred.
• Experience in transloading fly ash from rail car to truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars
• Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records
• Serve our customers through providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
