About The Position

Parallel Employment is hiring for a 2nd Shift Material Handler position for a food manufacturing company in Cheektowaga, NY.
In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring products are accurately handled and stored according to company standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a material handler or in a similar role
• Must have Reach and Lift Truck experience
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
• Basic math and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Use forklift and powered industrial truck to pull inventory and deliver production materials and supplies to production
• Must have Reach and Lift Truck experience
• Inspect and report any damaged or missing items
• Use RF scanners for inventory movement
• Inventory control
• Wrap and tag pallets
• Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
