Lift Station Technician

About The Position
H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H2O is currently seeking a Lift Station Technician to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience with pumps, motors, and electrical systems strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces/outdoor conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of wastewater operations or previous utility/maintenance work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair lift station pumps, motors and controls.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in pumps and control panels.
- Monitor system performance and respond to alarms or emergency calls.
- Clean and maintain wet wells, valves, and related equipment.
- Keep accurate service logs, reports, and maintenance records
- Operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and power tools safely.
- Follow safety protocols, including confined space and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist with other wastewater system repairs as needed.
