About The Position
The Nordic Valley Lift Operations team is the front-line and face of resort Mountain Operations. This role is responsible for operating the ski lifts and helping to create a fun and safe environment for our guests. The ideal candidate is energetic, guest-focused, and works well in a fast-paced environment. This position is great for anyone who loves to ski/snowboard, as we have great perks for our employees to also enjoy our resort and sister resorts throughout the country. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must know how to operate basic machinery.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Must be able to ski or snowboard safely to and from assigned workstations using company-designated routes (In some instances, employees without fundamental ski or snowboarding ability may be assigned to workstations where such skills are not required).
- Must have reliable transportation, being dependable and arriving to work on time on a daily basis.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist and direct guests loading and unloading chairlifts and conveyors in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, using excellent guest service skills.
- Maintain the loading/unloading ramps and lift maze areas.
- Remove snow from chairs, ramps, and work areas.
- Daily set up and take down of guest loading, preloading, chair clearance and line maze areas.
- Operate machinery and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assist in emergency situations as required, such as misloads, unseated passengers & lift evacuations,
- Work well with team members, demonstrate good communication skills, and promote a positive work environment.
- Answer guests questions related to general resort operations, ski lifts, routes, and ski runs.
- Follow supervisors direction and perform other duties as assigned.
