Requirements

  • Understanding of Safety guidelines.
  • Warehouse/Operations preferred.
  • Ability to select at a rate established by the department.
  • Must provide own hand tools (complete journeymen toolbox)
  • Three to five years of trade school or equivalent material handling equipment maintenance experience
  • Must have electrical knowledge of AC/DC controls, PMC controls, EV1, and EV100
  • Must have knowledge of hydraulics.
  • Must have knowledge of welding and power tools.
  • Must be flexible to perform general building maintenance as required by management

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper maintenance of all material moving equipment including sit down fork, stand up fork, cherry picker, pallet jacks and sanitation equipment.
  • Diagnose problems related to motors, drive brakes, and electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Tear down, repair and reassemble equipment.
  • Inspect, remove, and replace defective components and/or parts.
  • Perform proper maintenance programs on equipment.
  • Identify and correct minor problems before they develop into a breakdown.
  • Use of appropriate power and hand tools
  • Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance and all other work performed.
  • Keep accurate records of parts used for inventory control and order with approvals, as required.
  • Communicate with supervisor/manager daily regarding changes or problems with equipment.
  • Clean work area/warehouse and equipment.
  • Other duties as required by management.
