About The Position

The Lift Operations Operator is responsible for the overall operation of ski lifts at Wisp Resort, a four-season ski, golf, and recreational destination resort. This position may require performing additional duties outside of the job description due to the nature of the resort business. The hours of operation are 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and the anticipated start date for this position is December 2025, subject to change based on weather conditions. Both full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available, with varied hours and shifts that fluctuate with the time of season.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, unless company sees ability without minimum education requirement.
• Previous ski area experience helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Complete a two-day Lift Training Course.
• Basic English language skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact and converse intelligently with guests and other employees in a positive, helpful manner.
• Assist in care and appearance of all lift-related equipment.
• Support harmony and goodwill in the Mountain Operations Department and with all other staff and Resort departments.
• Participate in lift operation and safety-specific training prior to starting work.
• Familiarize with all facilities at Wisp Resort, including locations and hours of operation.
• Assist in shoveling snow to maintain the condition of lift mazes and loading/unloading platforms.
• Maintain a clean workplace and assist in picking up trash in parking areas, around buildings, and on the slopes.
• Give verbal reminders/warnings to skiers who do not abide by the Rules of Conduct.
• Perform repetitive routine tasks while remaining alert at all times.
• Assist with checking tickets and passes to board the lifts.
• Assist maintenance when necessary by running lifts or giving support to the crew.
